Our projects
Swiss Geo Energy develops geothermal projects that extract renewable energy from underground sources. From GeoCogen Eclépens to La Broye, these projects use geothermal solutions to provide clean electricity and heating solutions across Switzerland.

Discover the GeoCogen Eclépens project
GeoCogen Eclépens will develop a geothermal cogeneration plant in Vaud canton that simultaneously produces electricity and heat. The plant will supply heat to the Cadcime district heating network while feeding renewable electricity into Switzerland's grid, with commercial operations starting in 2030.
Cogeneration system: Single plant produces both 1.5 MWe electricity for the grid and 18 MWth heat for local district heating network.
Technology: Uses hydrothermal systems without fracking to exploit natural underground heat circulation at 2,000+ meter depths.
Production start: Cogeneration plant begins commercial operations in 2030, delivering heat and electricity simultaneously.

La Broye project
The GeoCogen La Broye project will develop multiple geothermal plants across the Broye region using Europe's largest geophysical campaign (500 km²) to identify optimal sites.
Exploration: Geophysical campaign across three/four cantons starts winter 2026-2027 to map geothermal targets.
Technology: Uses proven hydrothermal systems without fracking, targeting hot water at 2,000+ meter depths.
Timeline: First plant is planned to be operational by 2033, with additional plants will be built at other identified sites.
